I had breakfast at Home Grown GA and really enjoyed it. The place has a cozy, down-to-earth feel, and the staff made me feel welcome right away. The food tasted fresh and homemade, and the portions were just right without being over the top. It felt like the kind of spot where you can sit back, relax, and enjoy a good meal without any fuss. I’d definitely stop by again if I’m in the area.

A simply delightful place with not fancy food, but great food. With really interesting decor and a very diverse clientele with a really cool coffee shop and art on the wall for sale. The fried green tomatoes were some of the best fried green tomatoes I’ve ever had.

I'm from NY and was visiting ATL for the first time was there 3 days. We ate out every meal and this was by far the best place we went. I'm from the north and never was a grits fan, my wife is and I tried hers and I'm definitely a grits fan now. I got French toast and bacon she got chicken and biscuits smothered in sausage gravy. It was Outstanding the bacon was not the thin stuff you get in Rochester it was thick and cooked perfect. The atmosphere was kinda divy but in a unique and cool way. Can't explain just go there, you will see.

Super charming diner. Very friendly severs. They are happy to modify dishes and substitute as needed. Very affordable prices, good value and portion sizes. My husband loves the comfy chicken biscuit. While they do not have gluten free bread or waffles, they can accommodate various entries. I had the 2-egg, bacon dish and subbed out the grits and biscuit for home fries and strawberries.

On the Michelin Guide was a little spot called Home Grown GA a low-key joint tucked into a nondescript old neighborhood. Inside, it was everything a true diner should be: worn floors, mismatched chairs, and that unmistakable smell of bacon grease and coffee that’s soaked into the walls over the decades. The place had character, the kind you can’t fake. The line was out the door, but luck was on our side and we snagged a couple of seats at the old counter, the kind that’s seen at least fifty years of elbows, coffee cups, and morning stories. Lonnie sat back, people-watching, taking in the wonderfully eclectic mix of regulars, artists, families, and travelers everyone from every walk of life. We both went for The Comfy Chicken Biscuit, an open-faced biscuit topped with fried chicken and blanketed in rich pork sausage gravy. I couldn’t resist adding an order of fried green tomatoes to share. When the plates hit the counter, they were stacked high comfort food in its purest form. The biscuit was buttery and flaky, the chicken crisp and tender, and the gravy…the best I’ve ever had. Honest food, made with care and pride. We left stuffed, happy, and ready to head home. Two incredible meals this weekend worlds apart in style, refined and artful, the other soulful and humble. Both unforgettable in their own way.

HEY HEYYY!!! It's me Kay Kay and I'm back with another review. If you're from Atlanta, then you should know this hidden gem. They have some of the best breakfast out here. It tastes so good it reminds me of grandma's cooking on a Sunday morning before church. I got chicken and waffles - if you know, you know - and my mom got shrimp and grits. Her shrimp were so amazing! Oh my word, I love chicken and waffles. You could really never go wrong with it. Honestly, it's simple and appetizing. We also ordered fried green tomatoes, and me personally, I'm not a big tomato person, but that right there!!! I couldn't get enough of it. Their house ranch is so yummy. I wish I knew the recipe, but anyway, enough of my yaps. Go get you some good breakfast RIGHT NOW!!!

Out son who lives in the area had been wanting us to eat here and enjoy real Southern Comfort food. The restaurant is a quaint restaurant on Memorial Drive in Atlanta. Once arrived, we were immediately seated. There was a bar to sit at as well as table seating. The waitress was as sweet as can be and very helpful. Nothing like Southern Hospitality. The restaurant has the feeling of a simpler time. The menu is breakfast/ lunch. I chose the fried chicken on a biscuit with sausage gravy (Comfy Chicken Biscuit). It was so good. The coffee was almost addicting. Portions are huge. I did bring half home. Love to return next time I am in Atlanta

This place is a gem! My dad told me this place has some good food and man was he 10/10 for this recommendation. If you are looking to get some “home cooked” meals then this is your spot. The food is too good! I usually order the chicken tender meal that comes with grits, eggs, and a huge crispy pancake. The portions are enough to share! The chicken is fried crispy! The grits are standard. Not made it though cause you can just season to your liking. My boyfriend enjoys their bacon too. It’s hard to choose another menu item because the OG is so good. The staff is friendly but if it is busy they will rush you will so the next people can sit down.
